Please note, we DO NOT accept telephone requests or email requests for repeat prescriptions.

Medication that is requested which is not on your repeat medications list must be discussed with a GP first by phone or by consultation.

We also offer on-line ordering of repeat prescriptions and EPS. Please speak to reception to register for these services.

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered via the NHS or patient access app or by calling the Prescription Ordering Department known as 'POD'. Please telephone the dedicated number for prescription ordering on

0121 468 0771 Mon-Fri 8.30AM-5.30PM and speak to one of our team.

Requests take 48 hours to process.

Please note we do not accept repeat prescription requests from pharmacies unless discussed with the practice.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
